Nev O'Dea

Nev O'Dea is a Nature Wellbeing Garden Educator with the Edible Campus Program. He is a second-year Sociology major with minors in Applied Psychology and LGBTQ Studies, with aspirations to pursue graduate studies in Psychology and become a child psychologist. Nev brings experience from volunteering with the RCSGD at UCSB and with local coalitions in his hometown. In his current role, Nev develops and facilitates nature-based workshops that support student mental health through mindfulness, gardening, and environmental reflection. He speaks fluent English and has intermediate proficiency in American Sign Language and German. Nev is a trans man from a small town in Northern California, near Yosemite National Park, and is passionate about creating inclusive, affirming spaces where everyone can feel safe and supported.
