Mentorship is a key element of our internship model.  Students in our program are assigned a direct supervisor who may be a staff person in our department or someone from outside the department.  In addition to this, we work to identify other staff, faculty, community members, alumni, and other students who can provide advice and guidance to our interns.

Becoming a mentor

If you are interested in learning more about opportunities to be a mentor, please contact Katie Maynard, Director of Student Sustainability Initiatives kcmaynard@ucsb.edu.  In our meet the mentors section below, you can also learn about some of our current members and how they engage with our interns.
