About the E-CAR 805 Project
The Equitable Charging Access for Renters in the 805 region (E-CAR 805) Project is a collaboration across three counties—San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, and Ventura—to expand electric vehicle charging access to low-income multifamily housing along the Central Coast.

E-CAR 805 is a dynamic partnership led by UC Santa Barbara’s Sustainability Internships and Community Resources Department (SICR).

Goals for Community Engagement
Through this grant we will be hosting electric vehicle (EV) showcases and webinars to highlight information about EV models, incentives, and purchase guidance. We will distribute flyers and door hangers to raise awareness of charging stations and resources. We will also collect feedback from the community through surveys.
