Alejandro Lemus serves as the Horticultural Educator at the Santa Barbara Botanic Garden, where he develops and implements horticultural education programs for residential gardeners and professional landscapers. Born and raised in Los Angeles, he developed a passion for plants through his family's landscaping work and earned a B.S. in Biology with a focus in ecology and evolutionary biology from UCLA. Alejandro brings experience in habitat restoration, native plant nursery management, propagation, and community education, with a deep appreciation for California's native ecosystems and a commitment to connecting people with plants.
