My name is Ashley Valenzuela, I am a second-year undergraduate student majoring in Philosophy with a minor in Legal Humanities. After graduation, I plan to attend law school and pursue a career as an attorney. I am passionate about serving marginalized communities, advocating for justice, mentorship, and higher education. During my time at UCSB, I’ve been involved in the Residential Housing Association as President of Manzanita Hall Council and have served in the Associated Student Body as a Senator. Additionally, I interned in a research fellowship where I worked with Swap Meet Justice, non-profit organization, assisting families with family preparedness forms, educating them about their rights, and interviewing families in Spanish and English about their experiences. I hope to continue learning and serving others in order to make a meaningful difference in my community.
