Caroline Hartig

Caroline is the Garden Coordinator intern for the Edible Campus Program. She is a 2nd year Environmental Studies major at UCSB. She has previously worked with her high school’s garden to raise chickens, ducks, and rabbits, and has helped to facilitate a partnership between the garden and the school’s culinary classes. She has experience working with houseplants and building custom terrariums. She has also volunteered with the National Parks Conservancy on reintroducing native plants to the Bay Area, and managing invasive species. She is passionate about nature-based solutions, transportation, and combating climate change. Caroline also loves to crochet, cook, and spend time outdoors.
