About

My name is Daniela Colorado, I am a third-year Psychological and Brain Sciences major with a minor in Philosophy at University of California, Santa Barbara. I am passionate about community service because, above all, I want to dedicate my life to helping others in whatever way I can. My experience includes working with children as an after-school elementary teacher, tutor, and babysitter. While living in Guatemala, I also volunteered to teach children how to read and write when education in my community had come to a halt. These experiences inspired my future goal of becoming a child therapist, specifically working with children affected by trauma or mental disabilities. Outside of academics and service, I enjoy spending time with friends, discovering new foods, adventuring new places, and staying active.
