Darby Feldwinn co-founded and directs the elementary portion of SciTrek, a grades 2–12 science outreach program at UCSB founded in 2010. As program director, she writes curriculum, leads professional development workshops for teachers and volunteers, facilitates modules in local classrooms, and oversees program research. She also directs the South Coast Science Project, providing science professional development for TK through 6th grade teachers. Her research focuses on how SciTrek affects students' attitudes toward science and how teachers' understanding of the NGSS evolves through participation in the program.
