Evelyn Tano

I'm Evelyn Tano, a first year pre-biology student at UCSB. I'm passionate about community service because it's very fulfilling helping others in the same community that supported me growing up as a Santa Barbara local. Through volunteering at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital, Santa Barbara Botanic Garden summer camp and interning at the Santa Barbara Public Library, I gained experience working with people of various backgrounds. These experiences expanded communication skills while also deepening my interest in healthcare and service, along with my involvement with the health academy at my high school. In the future, I hope to pursue a career in the medical field to continue giving back to my community in a different way.
