Genevieve Schwanbeck grew up in Carpinteria and has spent the majority of her career in the Santa Barbara area. She has worked at Explore Ecology for 11 years, progressing from Garden Educator to Garden Coordinator and now Garden Program Director. In her current role, she oversees 37 school gardens across Santa Barbara County and a team of approximately 15 staff members. Her experience spans teaching, garden maintenance, irrigation, installation, scheduling, fundraising, and organizational representation at conferences and committees throughout the region.
