Ling (David) Dai

I’m David Dai, a third year Biochemistry student at the University of California, Santa Barbara. I am passionate about community service because I understand how access to support, mentorship, and resources can make a meaningful difference in someone’s opportunities and future. I have previous experience through educational leadership roles, public health internships, and volunteer work, where I developed communication, teamwork, and leadership skills. In the future, I hope to pursue graduate school and continue into a research focused career in biochemistry. Outside of academics, I enjoy staying active, exploring history, and thinking about how scientific ideas connect to real-world problems and everyday life.
