About

My name is Madelyn. I am a second-year Sociology and Linguistics major at University of California, Santa Barbara with an emphasis in Speech Language Sciences and Disorders. I am passionate about community service because I enjoy building meaningful connections and supporting others in their personal and academic growth. I have prior experience working as an After School Program Assistant with the Goleta Union School District, where I helped create a positive and supportive environment for students. I have also worked at Devereux as a Personal Attendant, LEAP as a Dual Language Childcare Intern, and UCSB Family Vacation Center as a Camp Counselor. In the future, I hope to become a Speech-Language Pathologist and work with children and families to support communication development. Outside of school and work, I enjoy spending time with my pets and exploring new coffee shops/hike trails with family friends.
