Valerie Camara

I’m Valerie Camara, a third-year Communication major at University of California, Santa Barbara hoping to pursue a career in marketing and advertising. As a first-generation Latina student, I am passionate about creating inclusive spaces where people feel welcomed, heard, and supported. Community service is very important to me because I believe it allows people to build meaningful connections while making a positive impact on others. Through my campus involvement and leadership experiences, I have loved giving back to my community and supporting students with similar backgrounds and experiences. In the future, I hope to use storytelling and creativity to inspire positive change through marketing and media. In my free time, I enjoy photography, hiking, and thrifting.
