Zishuo "Derek" Liu

Hi! My name is Derek Liu. I am a fourth year student at UCSB, and I am studying Molecular and Cellular Biology and Sociology. I am passionate about community service because I believe one of the best ways to make my life meaningful is to make positive impacts on others' lives and make people smile more often. Serving my community is rewarding and impactful at the same time, which is exactly what I am looking to do. I volunteered in a nursing home, and am currently volunteering in the local ER. I enjoyed both of them! My future goal is to become a primary care physician, so I can better serve my community and improve their health!
